Infectious disease physician Dr. Michael Scoma, who assisted reality TV star Brandi Glanville during her widely publicized facial health issues, explains in @townandcountrymag

“Chlamydia is a well-defined sexually transmitted infection caused by Chlamydia trachomatis. It primarily affects the genital tract and, in some cases, the oral or rectal mucosa through direct exposure. In limited settings—most commonly in developing countries—it can also present as conjunctivitis, particularly in newborns or areas with poor sanitation.”

“Importantly, there is no such medical diagnosis as ‘facial chlamydia.’ Claims circulating on social media suggesting otherwise represent a false narrative rather than a recognized clinical entity. Dermatologic manifestations on the face are not how chlamydia presents, and the suggestion that a facial rash reflects a sexually transmitted infection is medically inaccurate.” @townandcountrymag @bethennyfrankel
